Technical Verification

Technical verification examines source code material deposits for completeness and accuracy. The Archive provides independent, third-party technical verification services. We will adapt these services to meet your specific needs with the following levels:

File Listing
The source code material is loaded and a file listing and the source code is run. The magnetic or electronic media on which the source code is stored is confirmed to be in working order. The size of the files is compared to the expected size, date, and number of files of the licensee's software.

Compilation
The Archive compiles the source code material deposit to ensure that the deposit is in working order and that the source code material will generate functional object code.

Size Comparison
The Archive compares the size of the object code compiled from the source code material deposit to the size of the licensee's object code. This tests whether the source code material is complete.

Function Comparison
The Archive performs all the specific functions as defined by the licensee on both the newly compiled object and on the licensee's object code. This tests whether the source code material is accurate.
